For this exercise we needed to find three different subjects without shadows. The subjects needed detail and some colour.
The point here, I think, was to see that shadows are not always a bad thing. Harsh light causes distracting shadows and this isn’t always wanted. Conversely this lack of light can make images look flat. We were asked to think how some of the photographs we had taken could have been improved either way. Certainly there is a time and a place for both depending on subject and intended outcome. Sometimes we don’t get a choice!
